Damian Clark, Chief Operating Officer and Training Manager

Damian is a dedicated and professional Aviation Industry Manager with over 15 years’ experience in the Aviation Industry.

From a career of working with QANTAS at Heathrow International Airport in London to leading teams on the ground at 8 Australian Airports, Damian brings a wide range of international and domestic Aviation experience into the classroom.

Damian also contributes to the workplace assessment strategies that benefit all airport staff looking to gain a qualification and to development of content for students looking to begin careers in the Aviation industry. Damian leads our training team and his unlimited energy, enthusiasm and passion for all things Aviation ensure a great experience for all.

Martin Hanley, Trainer

Martin commenced his aviation career as a pit crew team member with Virgin Blue at Melbourne Airport in 2006 – 2012 being promoted to the role of Ramp Operations Team Leader.

In 2012 Martin joined QantasLink at Pt Lincoln Airport as a Senior Ramp and Customer Service officer and in 2013 Martin was appointed to his first Aviation Management role as the Operations Manager at Paraburdoo Airport WA. This role required managing tall aspects of the ground handling operation, safety and compliance for QantasLink, Cobham, Virgin Australia, Alliance Airlines and Network Aviation. Marty completed additional skills training as a Cobham approved load controller, in April 2015 completed Aerodrome Reporting Officer training with AMS at Jandakot Airport WA and in July 2015 joined the ARO team at Moranbah Airport QLD to further develop his ARO/WSO knowledge and skills.

In March 2016 Marty was appointed Airport Manager at Moomba & Ballera Airports in the Cooper Basin, in his first management role for the whole of airport operation including fuel facility/aircraft refuelling and all ground handling operations and staff. In May 2017 Marty took on his current role with Alliance Airlines as Airport Manager at Cape Preston Airport WA.

In July 2018 Marty commenced his post graduate diploma in Aviation (Management) at Swinburne.

Marty is a passionate aviation industry Trainer who willingly shares his knowledge and experience with the students of Industry Delivered Training in a friendly, supportive and encouraging way. Marty looks forward to getting to know and work with many new IDT airport trainees in 2019 and beyond. Welcome to the team Marty.
